Indy’s BLOG – Survival Tip – A good spot!

When you are living “on the road” it’s essential to find a secure night spot.

We ar‭e lucky! We found commercial estate. Secure and safe at night and totally private at week ends. 12 kilometer to city centre and 10 km to the beach.

Our spot offers:

  • A place to pee and shit for me
  • Fast WIFI for Vil
  • POLICE and guards around
  • Private parking for Victor
  • A toilette at the gas station
  • Central motorway

And all for free!

Indy’s BLOG – Waiting …

We are on standby! No money, no gas for Victor, little food for Vil and me. We are still at our spot near to the swimming pool. We have quite good WiFi and Vil is surfing the web all day searching for a job, writing applications and from time to time we have a movie.

We made already a few friends. Yesterday a dog owner donated a bag of dog food and invited Vil to have a little food shopping session at ALDI. A very welcome surprise, because we are very low on funds and the last real meal is a few days ago. Luckily, the staff in the nearby MacDonald’s is very nice and they allow us to use the toilet, we can grab water there and sometimes we also get some ice cubes for free to chill the food, drinks and most important the insulin.

Indy’s BLOG – Sleeping on the road. – Wiesloch

? victor is good. ? sleeps.  We are back in Germany and it was no good welcome.

We can’t stay at our friends place anymore, because the landlord is not happy to have me in the house and fears about his carpet. That’s obviously a made up reason to get rid of me. Why you ask me? Because this guy seem to have a personal problem. He looks actually quite nice, like Papa Smurf, but don’t be fooled. He is a backstabbing evil creature.

So we needed to find another place. We need to be careful, because any kind of camping is already somehow illegal and we don’t want to get into any trouble with the police. While driving around we found a safe spot near to the public pool with open WiFi, an ALDI and a MacDonald’s nearby. We are totally broke and our money will last for maybe another two or three days.

Indy’s BLOG – I am in love! – Dragon Cannabis Club Barcelona

We are at the Dragon Cannabis Club directly at the Las Ramblas in Barcelona. There is quite good and free unlimited WIFI, power plugs to charge the laptop and the phone. A working climate is very welcome to cool us down, because today it’s way too hot to stay outside. Within a club, you can smoke, but you don’t need to. You can just go there to have a coffee which is quite good.

UPDATE: The club was located directly at the Las Ramblas in Barcelona, just a few meters away from Place de Catalunia. Later Vil figured out that the DCC was one of the more shady clubs, which targeted the tourists and not interested in ‘locals’. The original DCC at the Las Ramblas doesn’t exist anymore! It was closed because this club was considered a fraudulent one. A tourist trap. A tourist visits for a weekend, pays the membership fee and way overpriced weed. A local just drinks a coffee and smokes his own weed. Anyhow …

Indy’s BLOG – Wifi @ the beach

There is a comping place near to our parking spot at the beach. It’s the “Tres Estrellas Camping” in
Gava Beach. Vil went to the reception and asked for WIFI and the girl gave him a voucher for an internet connection with 4 MBit WIFI and no limits. All of that for 2 Euro for three days. We are also allowed to get a free shower and water as well.

Thanks to the nice girl at the counter.

GAVA Beach, Mass Blau and McDonald’s

When we drove to Spain we had no real idea where we want to stay and how we will manage our daily routine. Surely we need water, a toilet near, a safe place to sleep, a place to stay at night where we can sleep safe. The last days we drove a bit around and Vil found a nice spot at the beach in Gava and just a few kilometres away a place where we can park at night and access a open WiFi network.
