Indy’s BLOG – Nearly Arrested

This morning we came home around 0400 and before going to bed I wanted to have the last shit, so we went to the “doggy shit place”. There were still plenty of people on the street and I enjoyed myself until a guy grabbed my leash and pulled me away from the place. “What the fuck is going on here? Who is this dude and what does he want?” Panic, I started to bark and Vil recognized that something is wrong.

“Hurry up my friend, I am in big trouble here.” Vil needed a moment to locate me,  but then he was even faster then Ursain Bolt and he started to chase us. The creepy guy pulls even harder on my leash and I start to seriously freak out. There he is,  I am safe. “What are you doing with my dog?  Leave her alone.” The creepy guy stops and slowly turns around. He is drunk, he stinks and he looks like he wanted to make some trouble. “This is your dog?”, in Spanish. “Yes, fuck, and now give me the leash.” Vil tried to grab my leash but Ugly Guy didn’t want to let go. They both pull, I am barking and try to bite. Ugly guy tries to punch Vil in the face, but Vil’s reaction is way faster. He is on 1000 volts, pushed of adrenaline,  he ducks and places a straight slap on the ugly guy’s face.

It makes a funny sound when a nose breaks. Immediately the ugly guy is covered on blood and screaming. “I kill you.” Vil backs off,  but the ugly guy is running in Vil’s direction and that is not a very good idea, because Vil was prepared and finishes Ugly Guy with a straight punch in the face. Vil is normally very relaxed and tries to avoid any kind of confrontation, but this is a completely different situation.

At this moment two policemen show up and start to shout in Spanish. First, they handcuff Vil and then they check out ugly guy. They find him barely conscious and decide to call an ambulance. Vil was is placed in the back of the police car and they drive him away. One policeman stays with me until the veterinary emergency arrives to take care of me. The ambulance for Ugly guy arrives. He is still a bit deranged and moments later the vet emergency arrives as well and I am locked up in a dog transport box.

They drive Vil to a place station and there his identity is checked, Interpol questioned, photos made,  DNA and fingerprints were taken and a report needed to be written, but therefore a translator was needed,  because Vil speaks no Spanish, the policemen rudimentary English and the report itself would be in Spanish,  so it was a really good idea to wait for the translator and use his services.

Vil explained the situation using google translate on his phone and the policemen understood, but Ugly Guy is quite hurt and they need to write an official report. No way out. They need Vil’s statement and that needs to be in Spanish.

Three hours later Vil is finally free to leave the police station. The Veterinary Emergency people are really nice, they pick up Vil and give us a lift home.

All good now.

Good thing in the bad situation, that they didn’t frisk Vil or me. 🙂

A bit freaked out “WUFF”!

Indy’s BLOG – Payday

Yesterday or to be more specific, this morning,  Vil had an alcohol accident. 🙂 He came home from work,  walked me and while doing so he checked his bank account and “quelle surprise” : PAYDAY!

So we went for a little bender which finished this morning around 0730. It started quite harmless, one beer and some food. After the meal the bartender offered a free shot and Vil decided to have a brown tequila with orange and cinnamon. You can’t stand on one leg,  so he took another one and that was just the start.

While drinking until the pub closed at 03:00 I made contact with some nice people. Vil also enjoyed to have a chat and even more drinks. Well, that was not the end. We went  “street drinking” and finally we ended up at a nice place with a fountain. No idea where. There we had a few six-packs and around 0700 Vil was very happy to walk home. In the beginning we had a little problem with the direction, because Vil was too shitfaced to read Google maps, so i took the lead and around 0730 we arrived at home.

Happy days.

Indy’s BLOG – Have a legal smoke in Barcelona

Have you ever been to Amsterdam? The town with the nice Coffee Shops, where you can smell the sweet smoke nearly everywhere, the “Menu” contains sweet weed, quality hash, cookies and much more stuff that can make you fly.

You think Barcelona is maybe the same? Forget it! That’s Amsterdam and Barcelona is totally different.

In Barcelona, you can’t buy weed in a coffee shop like in Amsterdam because cannabis is still highly illegal, but there is one way for the desperate smoker to get high without any complications. You can become a member of a so-called “cannabis club” and enjoy your smoke on their premises, but you can smoke only there and you are NOT allowed to bring your smoke to your hotel or even carry it on the streets with you. Attention, when you get caught, you might have to pay a hefty fine!

Here are a few tips to enjoy a weekend full of smoke and no stress.

  • Never ever buy weed on the streets.
  • Never ever follow a street promoter.
  • Never ever smoke on the street. You might smell marijuana everywhere, but that’s not an invitation to smoke yourself.
  • Inform yourself about the conditions on how to join a club. Normally you need to be 18 or 21+, have a valid ID and an address in Spain, which not be a hostel or hotel or someone who invites you and becomes your sponsor.
  • Read about the club you want to join.

Q&A

What fine should I expect getting caught with weed in my pocket? Well, really depends on the situation and there may be no penalty at all, you pay a fine or you go to jail.

What’s the “best” association in Barcelona? There are plenty of associations in Barcelona.

Do I need to be a Barcelona resident to join an association? Nope, Someone can invite you into the club and become your sponsor.

How much is the membership fee to join an association? Mostly around 25 Euro a year.

What’s the quality? WOW!

How expensive is the weed in Barcelona? Around 10 Euro a gramme

Can you become my sponsor?

Nope! Sorry.

Rain, thunder, and storm. Summer 2016 is definitely over, autumn arrived. It was an amazing time and we had a lot of fun. Bottom line. Vil risked everything to find a new place for us and for now it looks like he succeeded. He found a job, we live in Barcelona and slowly we settle down. Summer 2016 thank you for a wonderful time, you will never be forgotten.
