Indy’s BLOG – Back to Germany! The Final Tapas
Our time in Spain runs out and we need to leave and go back to Germany. In a few days we need to report back to the job-centre and then we don’t know what to do. It’s a very sad Moment, but Vil finally found the Tapas he really likes.

Indy’s BLOG – Laptop dead!?
[Update: “Who the fuck can like a post like this?”]
Tonight all was fine, we watched a movie and fell asleep. This morning then the laptop did nothing anymore. A
button press and no reaction. Vil opened and checked for any obvious signs of damage, but there was nothing.
The laptop is DEAD! Shit, because all important documents are stored on the hard disk. That’s no problem because Vil could use an external disk enclosure, but there is no computer to connect to.
And yesterday Vil bought internet for 15€ to check for job offers online, but now he can put the voucher into the bin.
A bad start today.
[Update: 21 screws later it figured out that the fan was blocked by some dark dust. A fast clean and the laptop is back alive. Funny, sometimes a blowjob is the best medicine. ?]

Indy’s BLOG – Interview with Indy.
Reporter: “Hello Indy, it is a pleasure to have you for an interview.”
Indy: “It is my pleasure.”
Reporter: “You are ‘on the road’. How do you feel?”
Indy: “Well, I am quite relaxed. Driving in the car is nothing new for me, Vil and I we already drove a few times long distances, we take it easy. Vil drives, I sleep and when I wake up, we already arrived.”
Reporter: “That sounds like you enjoy to be on the road.”
Indy: “Yes, I really like it. It is amazing to visit exotic places and meet new people. All these new smells I never experienced before, different colours and the new languages I hear.”
Reporter: “Which languages do you bark?”
Indy: “I am born in France, Vil is German and he also speaks English with me and all these new good smelling dogs bark Spanish or Catalan.I am quite confident that I will pick up Spanish and Catalan within the next days or weeks.”
Reporter: “What are your plans?”
Indy: “Well, all is in the flow right now. We have no real idea where we are going. Maybe Spain, Ireland, The Netherlands or Germany. Vil is looking for jobs all over and right now we just wait for opportunities to arrive.”
Reporter: “isn’t it hard to live on the street?”
Indy: “That depends. Actually, it is a nice feeling being on the road. The sun, the beach and all the new places we see. BUT it’s not easy to plan and there might arrive the situation we need to go and beg on the road.”
Reporter: “That sounds a bit depressing.”
Indy: “You could see it like this and surely it is not easy to live without any security, but we’d rather stay poor in Spain on the road then rot on a sofa in Germany. We have a positive view of life and we enjoy every day we can go to the beach and meet new people. As long as we are together all will be good. I am sure.”
Reporter: “Is there anything you want to say to our reader?”
Indy: “Please support our journey and share your like with us! Come back and read our blog or donate via PayPal. Every little helps!”
Reporter: “Thank you for your time.”
Indy: “Whiff, wuff!”

10 May 2016 – Request from Vil to the Jobcenter.
Hello Ms Jobcenter,
I have some job interviews behind me now and it looks like I’ll find a job here. Unfortunately, I’m running out of time now because you’re expecting me back.
Now I have to decide what I will do. My question to you is the following: “Can you please extend the agreement by one week?” I am happy to list you the dates that I will have. At the moment I’m talking to ABC, CDE, Michael Page and XYZ and I expect to have a good chance of getting a job there.
I hope you can decide my request positively. What would be the consequences if I stayed “without permission?”
Many thanks
I wish you a nice day.
Vil
PS: attached a picture of my dog Indy. I hope it makes you smile.

12 May 2016 – Answer
Hello,
Thank you for your message, unfortunately I am afraid that I can not do very much for you. They had from 28.4. until May 13, 2016 absence requested, your confirmation date is accordingly the 17.5.2016, 12 clock. As an Unemployment Benefit II beneficiary, you can stay outside your place of residence for a maximum of 21 days per calendar year with prior consent.
If you send me confirmations from the employer with the dates of your current interview, then I could extend your absence by a maximum of 5 days, up to and including 18.5.2016 (including the days of the Whitsun weekend), which means you have to confirm in person at the Jobcenter Wiesloch at the latest by 19.5.16. If you did not confirm your registration in case of a possible extension on 19.5.16, this would lead to the loss of your services and, if necessary, to the recovery of your services.
If you would like me to check for a possible extension of the current absence up to and including May 18, 2016, I would ask you to immediately send me confirmations from the employers who are still in job interviews. If not, then I hope to see you on 17.5.2016 the agreed feedback date. If you do not take this, this would also lead to a loss and possibly to a recovery of your benefits.
I’m sorry that I can not give you more positive feedback! I wish you continued success and thank you for the beautiful photo of your dog, it has indeed made me smile.
Best regards

10 Mai 2016 – Anfrage von Vil an das Jobcenter.
Hallo Frau Jobcenter,

Indy’s BLOG – Status job search
After a long week with several interviews it looks like that Vil hits the same shit here then in Germany. “Too old” is the obvious and “too experienced” the funny reason to be rejected for a job.

Indy’s BLOG – Jobsearch – Navigation
Vil had an interview for a position as pre-sales account manager. First, his TomTom20 guided him to the wrong place. Same street name, but the wrong district. After entering the address manually all worked out.
The interview itself was a catastrophe. At first, the team leader had no CV at hand, then she didn’t like Vil on a personal level. It seemed to be on both sides a deep dislike. The cherry on the top was the miscommunication between HR and this team leader. She was totally sub-optimal informed. Salary, bonus and relocation assistance all advertised but not existent.
In the role play, Vil was better than good and he showed that he can do the job easy. The guy who did the roleplay was nice. Vil would have loved to work with him.
Anyway, today came the negative feedback.
No surprise. You big, baby-blue BLOB!
